Bio
Jean Marques is a visual artist and photographer currently based in New York City. Born in 1995, Jean has been making photographs since 2014. In 2019 they graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with an MFA degree in Photography and Related Media. Jean has been exhibiting their work since 2016 at galleries and shows in Miami, Fl, Rochester NY, and Portland, OR. Working primarily in the medium of analog photography, Jean makes visual artwork that explores themes of family, home, and intimacy. Their work explores these notions through the use of the family archive, writing, and sequencing.
